Rutland Regional Medical Center Scanning for a Brighter Tomorrow - Traci M

Rutland Regional Medical Center (RRMC) is grateful to Subaru of America and Oliver Subaru of Rutland for their outstanding generosity and support through the Subaru Share the Love event, which has a lasting positively impact the patients and communities we serve. Since being selected in 2017, RRMC has received close to $140,000 in donations from the annual Subaru Share the Love event. These donations have supported new 3D breast imaging and nuclear medicine diagnostic equipment, upgrades to the hospital’s psychiatric services inpatient unit, palliative care services and upgrades to the hospital’s comfort suites for chronically or terminally ill patients who require hospital care, and most recently, support for the expansion of RRMC’s Infusion Services program. The 2024 Subaru Share the Love campaign will raise funds and awareness to support the cost of a new positron emission tomography (PET) scanner at RRMC. A PET scanner uses drug tracers that allow the machine to see where parts of the body may be diseased. The PET scanner is combined with a CT scanner so that the precise location of the abnormal area can be identified. The use of the PET scanner continues to expand significantly each year. RRMC’s Foley Cancer Center providers reference PET scans daily for critical information that guides treatment decisions. It is also becoming an increasingly valuable tool for our cardiology team. An onsite system will allow Rutland Regional to image heart disease in ways that are currently only available at larger hospitals. As Rutland Regional continues to focus on increased access to care, the new PET scanner will help to reduce wait times for patient appointments and improve the overall patient experience. Since the new scanner will be permanently located inside the hospital, we would no longer need to use the outside mobile unit, which will enable better patient comfort and workflow efficiency. The new PET scanner is scheduled to be installed in 2026, and will enhance RRMC’s capacity to support our oncology and cardiology populations moving into the future so that patients won’t need to travel to get answers to their already challenging situations. With the support of the Subaru Share the Love campaign, RRMC will bring a new PET scanner to our community and make this important technology available for the patients who need it most – right here, close to home. Thank you again for your continued support.

Green Mountain Challenge A Success!! - Chris C

We have been running a youth soccer tournament for the past 25 years in Manchester Vermont. This serves as an opportunity for people to come from all over New England and New York to our small town and play in a premier event at substantially lower cost than many others. This event serves as our primary club fundraiser so that we can offer scholarships to many families in our club and make sure that every child who wants to play can. We have be lucky enough to work with Oliver Subaru over the past 2 years and their support has been tremendous!!! With their help we have been able to help more families than ever before!! They truly are supportive of the local community and the families in it. We are grateful to call them a partner and for the support that they offer as we truly not be able to help families the way we do without them!!

A TRUE FRIENDSHIP IN OLIVER SUBARU - KERRY C

At Rutland Intermediate School, the sounds of young minds at work—scratching pencils on paper, the rustle of notebooks, and the excited chatter of children—fill the hallways each day. But behind that daily buzz is the unwavering support of a local business that has made a lasting difference for students and teachers alike: Oliver Subaru. For years now, Oliver Subaru has been a consistent partner in helping Rutland Intermediate School thrive. Their contributions, while simple in nature, have had a profound impact on the students and educators who depend on the school’s resources. By donating school supplies, Oliver Subaru has helped fill the classrooms with the tools that inspire creativity, learning, and growth. The company’s most recent donation was just one of many acts of kindness. A generous shipment of essential school supplies—markers, crayons, paper, and rulers—arrived at the school, ready to be used by teachers and students in classrooms across the school. These supplies may seem small, but they are the building blocks of a great education. In the hands of a teacher, a box of markers or a bundle of crayons can unlock a world of imagination, while a sheet of paper can become the canvas for a student's dream. Teachers at Rutland Intermediate School have expressed their deep appreciation for the ongoing support from Oliver Subaru. “It’s amazing to have a partner who understands what our students need,” a fifth-grade teacher said at the school. “These supplies might seem simple, but they make such a huge difference in the classroom. With the right tools, our students can be more creative, more engaged, and more focused on their studies. And that's all thanks to Oliver Subaru.” The donation doesn't just stop with the supplies. It’s about fostering a spirit of community, one where local businesses like Oliver Subaru recognize that their contributions can help build a brighter future. The supplies they provide are a symbol of the company’s dedication to supporting local education and ensuring that Rutland's young learners have the resources they need to succeed. What makes this partnership even more special is its ongoing nature. Oliver Subaru has continued to show up year after year, always ready to help, always committed to giving back to the community. Their efforts are not just a one-time gesture; they are a long-term investment in the growth and development of Rutland’s future leaders. “We truly appreciate the impact Oliver Subaru has had on our students and staff,” “They’ve been an incredible supporter of our school, and we are so grateful for their generosity. It’s not just about the supplies; it’s about the message they send—that they care about our community and want to see our kids succeed.” At Rutland Intermediate School, every donation, every box of crayons, and every ruler represents more than just a gift—it represents the belief that education is the foundation of a brighter future. And with Oliver Subaru's continued support, the school is better equipped to provide the best possible learning environment for its students. As the school year continues and the students of Rutland Intermediate School continue to grow, one thing is certain: Oliver Subaru will remain a steadfast and supportive partner in their educational journey. Their contributions may seem small, but the impact they make is immeasurable. “We continue to appreciate all that Oliver Subaru does for our community members,” “Their generosity is a true example of what it means to support one another and build a stronger community together.” As long as there are students in the classroom and teachers ready to inspire, Oliver Subaru’s commitment to Rutland Intermediate School will continue to shine brightly, helping fill classrooms with the tools that unlock potential, spark creativity, and shape the future.

BBQ & Brew - Matthew F

First of all, we cannot thank Oliver Subaru enough for their support of the BBQ & Brew Festival in Rutland Vermont. The BBQ & Brew Festival is a Festival of local restaurants, beloved food trucks and an assortment of beverages all participating in a 2-day outdoor event. National entertainment, local bands and DJ’s will perform a variety of music to set the vibe and keep the energy high. There will also be engaging and interactive experiences for the guests to enjoy and certainly wanting more. Fundraising efforts will benefit The Josh Pallotta Fund, all while keeping the main focus of the BBQ & Brew Festival being to help benefit the community as a whole. The BBQ & Brew Festival was created for the purpose of helping the Rutland Region and Community as a whole. While we work with very worth while charities, and pride ourselves in being able to give back to those charities, the goal for the event now and moving forward is to try and stimulate the local economy. The greatest biproduct of any large scale event is the effect it has on the local economy. Hotels, restaurants, retail and the list goes on for who benefits from an event of this stature. All this being said, we are excited for the future of the BBQ & Brew Festival and will work tirelessly to grow this event for the local community and look forward to working with Oliver Subaru in the future. Thank you!

Operation Warmth - Isabella C

United Way's 2024 Welcome to Winter Program was a tremendous success due to the Operation Warm partnership with Oliver Subaru of Rutland. Over the past couple of weeks, I have had the privilege to organize this event with Jose Oliver, Curtis VanEpps, and the rest of the Rutland Team to supply students with brand-new winter jackets across 5 schools and 3 districts within Rutland County. Through this local partnership, over 100 students were equipped with new jackets to enjoy the snow and keep warm in the blistering winter months of Vermont. This adventure started when the United Way staff excitedly welcomed the Oliver Subaru team as they delivered the winter jackets to our offices. This was an exciting morning because we were finally able to meet the team that we have been chatting with over emails. Handshakes and smiles were flying across the room as jackets were carried in. On February 15, 2024, Curtis and I had the privilege to deliver these jackets to the selected schools and meet the incredible administrators that work everyday to give their students the best educational experience. It was heart-warming to speak directly to these community members that have been incredibly patient and cooperative in this entire operation. When speaking with these individuals, Curtis and I understood the common ground that the Subaru team, United Way of Rutland County, and the school administrators all have in common--the desire to fill the needs in our community. It was truly a rewarding experience to witness students receiving their new coats. Many could not keep the smiles off their faces when the jacket hugged their bodies. Many were thrilled about the name tag inside of their jacket--we could tell that this instilled a sense of pride in something that the students can now call theirs. From everyone at the United Way of Rutland County, thank you to Operation Warm and the Oliver Subaru team for their selfless effort to serve the children of Rutland by making their winters significantly more warm. This experience has set the bar high for next year's Welcome to Winter program, and we are extremely excited to keep things moving in the right direction alongside the Subaru team. Partnership with Oliver Subaru - Corissa B

The Rutland County Parent Child Center has been providing critical social services for the community for nearly 40 years and in that time we have seen tremendous growth in many forms, including in the community partnerships we form. Oliver Subaru came to our organization with a genuine desire and drive to help meet the needs of the families, caretakers, and children of Rutland County. 2022 marked the beginning of a wonderful collaboration when the business asked to be a part of our agency’s annual holiday giving event, which provides toys and food to hundreds of families every year. The kindness and enthusiasm with which their staff donated toys and spread the word of our holiday initiative has been such a heartwarming experience and has been crucial to our agency’s ability to meet the increasing call for holiday support. This year’s holiday season has proven to be a welcome and reassuring experience as Oliver Subaru once again comes to our proverbial Christmas table to donate, encourage, and spread Christmas magic throughout our agency and neighborhood. The continued interest and investment of Oliver Subaru ensures that parents, children, and families in need throughout our community will receive the support that so many of us rely on during the stressful winter months. It is a support and partnership that has benefited hundreds within the community and RCPCC looks forward to many more years serving alongside this wonderful business.
